Adventurers – Thursday 23rd April

Bonjour Adventurers!

Today is French Thursday. I will set you a little French activity each Thursday based on what we have been learning previously at school. This week is all about the colours of the rainbow. Below is a link to the colours of the rainbow song that we use in school. I would then like you to draw a rainbow and label the colours in French. I have put a template on Tapestry to help with the spellings.

Maths activity:

Today for your maths activity, I would like you to have a go at creating an interactive version of your pictogram. You can use a phone, a tablet or a laptop to do this as long as they are connected to the internet.

If you go to the following link, and click on blank template (this will either be at the side or down below depending on what type of device you are using), you can then alter the title and headings by clicking on them and typing your own. You can then click on the pictograph to change the values.
I have posted the one I have made from my results earlier in the week on tapestry. Have a go yourselves and post your results on tapestry if you can – I am looking forward to seeing them!

English activity

It’s story writing time!
Today Adventurers, I would like you to use the story plans that you created yesterday to begin to write your stories. Don’t forget to use the descriptions of the beautiful flowers with vibrant colours that you wrote the other day and try to include the different stages that the flower goes through during its life cycle.

Can you use paragraphs to show the beginning, middle and end of the story and vary your sentence openers? Don’t worry about finishing the story today – we will finish and edit them tomorrow.

Mr Grason also sent some information over about reading. I would love to hear about anything you have been reading. We are currently working our way through the Julia Donaldson collection – a firm favourite in our house!

I hope you all have a lovely day!
