Adventurers Class

Adventurers Class are Year 3. They are taught by Mrs Taylor and Mrs Porter.

Adventurers are taught English and Maths everyday and the children also enjoy gathering with the rest of the school for Collective Worship.

Children in Adventurers love to read and we are lucky to have an excellent class and school library with a range of exciting fiction, non-fiction and poetry texts to choose from. As well as reading for pleasure, Adventurers read daily in class. Reading books and  records will be sent home every night and books will be changed when they are completed.

Children in Adventurers are taught by specialist teachers each week. On a Tuesday, Adventurers have computing with Mrs Gurney and on a Thursday, the children have music lessons, where they will learn how to play a clarinet, saxophone, trumpet or trombone as part of our class band.

In Year 3, children will be given homework in maths and spellings. For maths, the children will be set work weekly on Sumdog.  New spellings will be given out every Friday too.

Please don’t hesitate to ask if there is anything else we can help you with.
