Friday 1st May

Good morning Adventurers,

Is Friday and the start of a new Month. We can’t believe it is May already!

Today’s suggestive activities are as follows…

English

You’ve all created some wonderful superheroes and ideas for your comic, great work!
I really enjoyed turning my storyboard into a comic story: ‘Silver Moon Shadow saves the night! Why don’t you give it a go? Remember to include: sound effects, colourful pictures, speech bubbles and your motto – all the features of a good comic story.
I can’t wait to see your work!
You might like to make a superhero family using a simple aeroplane design then fly them together.

Maths

I would like you to make a maths game to play with your family members.
You can make up your own game or I have uploaded some templates in which you could use.
Can you write some addition and subtraction questions for your family to answer and think of some rules for the game?

There are some nice ideas on this website and I have added some ideas above too to help you.

I hope you have fun doing this!

Science

Recently in science, you have been identify and sorting materials based on their properties.
Today, I would like to move onto states of matter. There are 3 states of matter – solid, liquid and gas.
Watch this clip about them and then learn about how we can change the states of matter by either heating or cooling.
There is a sorting activity for you to have a go at then at little investigation you do with an adult it you wish.

More information about these activities is on tapestry. Mrs Roe will also be uploading a story to tapestry this afternoon so keep an eye out for that.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend. I (Mrs Burton), plan on getting out on a nice long walk with my children and my dog, Ozzy but I think we might need our waterproofs on!
